BUCU is a group of students from Bath University who are united by the desire to share the good news of Jesus Christ with others at Bath University.

We are a diverse group of people from a range of backgrounds who are all united around this vision:
'To give everyone at Bath University the opportunity to hear and respond to the good news of Jesus Christ'

Our faith is a huge part of our lives and we want to share it with our friends, course mates and whoever else we can!
We put on regular events that give people exactly this opportunity, allowing them to investigate Christianity for themselves and ask any questions they might have.

Meet Our COMMITTEE

This is our current committee. If you wish to contact any of them about specific questions please use the relevant link below.

PRESIDENT

Joel thomas

I lead the Committee and oversee everything that goes on in CU. I also chair the weekly Committee meetings where all things CU-related are discussed.

VICE PRESIDENT

isobel tan

I help with leading the Committee and organising the weekly Committee meetings. I also put together the weekend away.

SECRETARY

ana tavsancea

I head up the administration of the CU, things like booking speakers and rooms for the CU as well as taking minutes at the  committee meetings.

TREASURER

sam baker

I look after the CU's finances, ensuring we have enough support and the money is put to good use.

International Secretary

megan davies

I organise the work the CU does to reach out to international students and ensure that the CU is aware of how important this mission is.

PUBLICITY SECRETARY

hannah young

I'm responsible for the visual communications of the CU such as flyers, posters and online visuals.

LOGISTICS SECRETARY

rebecca brooks

I oversee the hospitality, music and website teams and also send out the weekly CU emails.

EVANGELISM SECRETARY

rhys gillespie

I lead the team that organises our outreach events. I also think of creative ways to share the gospel on campus.

PRAYER SECRETARY

jonas allen

​I encourage the CU to be praying through organising regular prayer meetings and prayer weeks before events weeks.

DISCIPLESHIP SECRETARY

polly mccallum
I run the things that help the Christians know God better and therefore equip them to share it with others.

UCCF STAFF WORKER

James Thomas
I help the CU to think and live biblically. I also help the CU engage students with the gospel. My role is to serve the CU in any way I can.
