Christmas is such an amazing time to be sharing the gospel as a CU. The Christmas message is overflowing with God’s power, sovereign grace and mind-blowing, down-to-earth, all-embracing love!
What, Where, When?
Our main CU event is an evangelistic Carol Service down in Bath Abbey. Without fail this is hugely popular, attracting 600-700 students each year. We crack out the classic carols (given a modern twist by our very own CU choir), before a visiting speaker gives the congregation a taste of the true Christmas story. Mulled wine and mince pies finish the evening off in true festive style!
How can you get involved?
1. PRAY!
2. Invite your housemates, coursemates, friends and family!
3. Join the choir or play in the band.
4. Help make and serve refreshments after the service.
5. Crowd control – welcoming, handing out orders of service and free gospels, ushers.
6. Get the word out - Flyer campus and town.
There will be notices nearer the time, but if you’re keen to get involved then contact the Evangelism team. We’re particularly on the look out for a ‘choir master’ to recruit, organise, train and generally whip a CU choir into shape!
